Textbooks and AI
The overall aim of the project is to enhance the participants’ approach to digital and intercultural communication within language teaching by focusing on the pedagogical use of Artificial Intelligence in language teaching and research. To this end, a series of seminars and hands-on workshops will be organised, with the objective of drafting a collaborative language teaching manual supported by AI tools.
More specifically, the teaching programme will include the following parts:
- introductory seminar presenting the scope, objectives, and methodology of the project;
- Thematic seminars delivered by lectures on key areas of language learning: phonetics, grammar, listening, writing and speaking;
- practical workshops following each seminar, in which students, guided by teaching staff, apply the concepts discussed and produce contributions for the manual.
For students, this mobility will:
- increase awarness of the role of AI in language learning and intercultural communication;
- foster collaborative learning experiences in an international context;
- encourage critical thinking and adaptability in realation to neew digital tools;
- contribute to the creation of sustainable academic partnerships between institutions.
The Blended Intensive Programme will be both online and in presence at the University of Iasi (Romania).

The BIP Textbooks and AI. Rethinking Foreign Language Teaching (and Research) will take place
onsite at the University of Iasi, Romania, from 1st – 5th December (both included) and online on the 28th of November 2025 and on the 12th of December 2025. Moreover, from the 24th until the 27th of November 2025, optional Romanian language lessons will take place online from 18:00 to 20:00.
