1. Is the Degree Course for a limited number of students?/Il corso di laurea triennale in Artificial Intelligence è a numero chiuso?

Yes, it is an inter-university degree course with a limited number of available places. Consult the dedicated call for more information on the number of places.

2. Which test do I need to take to compete for a seat? Quale test devo sostenere per partecipare al Bando di ammissione?

EU and NON-EU students residing in Italy must take the English TOLC-I in University or @CASA in any seat and must score a minimum of 21/50.

NON-EU students, to compete for a seat, must take the SAT.
Minimal entry score: 979/1600 for SAT.

Gli studenti EU e NON- EU residenti in Italia devono sostenere l'English TOLC-I in Università o @CASA in qualsiasi sede e devono ottenere un punteggio minimo di 21/50.

Gli studenti NON-EU, per partecipare al Bando di ammissione, devono sostenere il SAT con un punteggio minimo 976/1600.

3. What are English TOLC-I and SAT?/Cosa sono l’English TOLC-I e il SAT?

The EnglishTOLC is the English version of TOLC, a test organised and administered by the CISIA group; this test is scheduled by universities to check the skills of its prospective students or as a selective test.
Applicants can take TOLC test:

  • in-person at any Italian university (English TOLC -I on premises);
  • At home (English TOLC@CASA-I)

It can be taken in every university, not necessarily at the university where the applicant wishes to enroll.

L’English TOLC-I è la versione in lingua inglese del TOLC, un test  organizzato ed erogato dal Consorzio CISIA, adottato dalle Università per verificare le competenze delle future matricole o come test di selezione.
Esistono due modalità di erogazione:

  • presso le aule universitarie: English TOLC-I all’Università;
  • presso la propria abitazione: English TOLC@CASA-I.

L’English TOLC può essere sostenuto in una qualsiasi sede universitaria, anche se diversa da quella in cui ci si vuole immatricolare.

4. Can the English TOLC-I (all’università o @CASA) be taken just once?/ L’English TOLC-I (all’università o @CASA) può essere sostenuto una sola volta?

The English TOLC-I (all’università o @CASA)  test can be taken several times (more info on the CISIA website). In case the applicant did take more than one test, the best score available will be considered at the moment of enrollment in the course.

5. Which steps do I follow to enroll?/Quali sono i passaggi per l’ammissione?

EU students/NON-EU students residing in Italy:

  • Sit the English TOLC-I: minimal entry score: 21/50;
  • In June register to the competition Admissions > Admission Test and choose the course “Artificial Intelligence – 1st year admission for EU and non-EU students regularly residing in Italy”. English TOLC -I test must have already be taken by the end of the call.
  • The Admission Office will prepare the merit ranking list using the score of the candidates. It will be published in July;
  • Students in an eligible position of the ranking list for the admission will be allowed to enroll in July.

 

NON-EU students residing outside of Italy:

  • Sit the SAT test;
  • Apply in this page in May. Candidates must attach the result of the SAT test;
  • The Admission Office will prepare the merit ranking list using the score of the candidates. It will be published in May/June;
  • Check the ranking list in order to find out if you are eligible for the admission;
  • Enroll in August. Students eligible for admission will receive further instructions on how to enroll;

  • Sostenere l'English TOLC-I: punteggio minimo di ingresso: 21/50;
  • Nel mese di giugno iscriversi al concorso Ammissioni > Test di ammissione e scegliere il corso “Artificial Intelligence - ammissione al 1° anno per studenti UE e non UE regolarmente residenti in Italia”. Il test di inglese TOLC -I deve essere già stato sostenuto entro la scadenza del bando;
  • L'Admission Office predisporrà la graduatoria di merito utilizzando il punteggio dei candidati. La graduatoria sarà pubblicata nel mese di luglio;
  • Gli studenti in posizione utile nella graduatoria di ammissione potranno immatricolarsi a luglio.

Studenti extracomunitari residenti fuori dall'Italia:

  • Sostenere il test SAT;
  • Presentare la domanda di ammissione in questa pagina nel mese di maggio. I candidati devono allegare il risultato del test SAT;
  • L'Admission Office predisporrà la graduatoria di merito utilizzando il punteggio dei candidati. La graduatoria sarà pubblicata a maggio/giugno;
  • Controllare la graduatoria per sapere se si è idonei all'ammissione;
  • Immatricolarsi ad agosto. Gli studenti idonei all'ammissione riceveranno ulteriori istruzioni sulle modalità di immatricolazione.

6. How do I know if I am correctly registered for the admission competition?/Come faccio a sapere se mi sono iscritto correttamente al concorso di ammissione?

If you successfully complete the registration process, you will receive a confirmation email to the personal account you provided during the registration process on the Unipv portal.

7. How shall I enroll?/Come mi immatricolo?

If you have been placed in a suitable position in the ranking list, you must pre-enroll and pay the 1st installment in July, following the instructions at this link " https://portale.unipv.it/it/didattica/corsi-di-laurea/ammissioni/iscriversi-una-laurea-triennale-o-magistrale-ciclo-unico" section (see link at the bottom of the page).

8. Can I enroll without a high school diploma?/ Posso immatricolarmi se non ho ancora conseguito il diploma di maturità?

Students who are about to obtain an Italian "maturità":

Yes, you can but you will have to update it on the "Student Portal" Area Riservata (selecting SEGRETERIA> TITOLI DI STUDIO> MODIFICA TITOLI) by the end of July.

Students who are about to obtain a non Italian high school diploma:

These students must apply to the competition by submitting an official high school document declaring that they are enrolled in XII class and a declaration of the school indicating the approximate date of the diploma awarding.

The final diploma must be obtain and send to the Admission Office ([email protected]) by September.

Sì, puoi immatricolarti ma entro fine luglio dovrai inserire il voto conseguito nell’Area Riservata (SEGRETERIA> TITOLI DI STUDIO> MODIFICA TITOLI).

Studenti che stanno per conseguire un diploma di scuola superiore non italiano:

Questi studenti devono iscriversi al concorso presentando un documento ufficiale della scuola superiore che dichiari l'iscrizione alla XII classe e una dichiarazione della scuola che indichi la data approssimativa del rilascio del diploma.

Il diploma finale deve essere ottenuto e inviato all'Admission Office ([email protected]) entro Settembre.

9. I was not admitted and could not enroll. What can I do? / Non sono stato ammesso e non ho potuto immatricolarmi. Cosa posso fare?

Places for EU students residing anywhere and NON-EU students residing in Italy that are still available at the end of the enrollment process will be reassigned.

To apply, you must register for the admission test in July by logging into the Reserved Area and following these steps:

  • Select SEGRETERIA>ADMISSION TEST.
  • Choose the admission test for the Artificial Intelligence course.
  • Click on 'Apply' and confirm

In July, the reassignment of available places will begin according to the order of merit of the ranking list.

I posti ancora disponibili per gli studenti EU, ovunque essi siano residenti, e per gli studenti NON UE residenti in Italia, saranno riassegnati al termine del processo di iscrizione.

Per candidarti devi presentare domanda di ripescaggio a luglio collegandoti all’Area Riservata e seguendo questi passaggi:

  • Seleziona SEGRETERIA>TEST DI AMMISSIONE
  • Scegli il concorso di ammissione al corso di Artificial Intelligence
  • Clicca su ‘Presenta domanda’ e conferma

A luglio inizierà la riassegnazione dei posti disponibili secondo l’ordine di merito della graduatoria.

10. Do I have to pay anything to submit a reassignment request?/Per presentare la domanda di ripescaggio devo versare qualcosa?

No, further payment is requred./ No, non è richiesto alcun versamento.

11.  I submitted my application for the reassignment process. How do I know if I have been admitted? / Ho presentato la domanda di ripescaggio. Come faccio a sapere se sono stato ammesso?  

You have to check on the Reserved Area if the "ADMITTED" status appears on the admission page. If the status is ‘ADMITTED’, you must proceed with the enrollment procedure by the deadline shown next to the status by following the instructions at thi link: the https://portale.unipv.it/it/didattica/corsi-di-laurea/ammissioni/iscriversi-una-laurea-triennale-o-magistrale-ciclo-unico’’ (see link at the bottom of the page).

Devi controllare sull’Area Riservata se nella pagina di iscrizione al concorso appare lo stato “AMMESSO”. In tal caso devi procedere all’immatricolazione entro la scadenza indicata accanto allo stato seguendo le istruzioni riportate nella sezione “iscriversi-una-laurea-triennale-o-magistrale-ciclo-unico” (vedi link a fondo pagina).

12. Can I register at the same time for other limited number courses?/Posso candidarmi contemporaneamente anche ad altri corsi a numero chiuso?

Yes, it is possible. If you have been ADMITTED/AMMESSO to more than one-degree course, you will proceed with the enrollment only in the course you prefer.
Your status of the other courses will be rejected and become “CANCELLED/ANNULLATO” and that place will be reassigned to the first person in the ranking.
If you have already been enrolled in the first year on one course and you subsequently become “ADMITTED” in another course that you prefer, you will have to carry out the procedure indicated for the passage of courses (see question 14).

Sì, è possibile. Se dovessi risultare in stato “AMMESSO” su più corsi di laurea procederai con l’immatricolazione solo sul corso che preferisci, le posizioni degli altri corsi scadranno e diventeranno “ANNULLATO” e quel posto verrà riassegnato alla prima persona in graduatoria.
Se invece sei già stato immatricolato al primo anno su un corso e diventi successivamente “AMMESSO” in un altro che preferisci, dovrai eseguire la procedura indicata per il passaggio di corso (vedi domanda 12).

13. I have an AMMESSO status for the Artificial Intelligence Degree Course but I am already enrolled in another degree course at UNIPV. What should I do?/Sono risultato AMMESSO al corso triennale in Artificial Intelligence ma sono già iscritto ad altro corso in Unipv. Come procedo?

In case you are already enrolled in another degree course – first year – in the University of Pavia, within the ADMISSION DEADLINE, you have to:

  • Login in your Reserved Area and submit the passage request for the selected course;
  • Pay promptly the fee of 16 euros for the digital revenue stamp.

In you are already enrolled in another degree course, for a year at least, within the ADMISSION DEADLINE, you have to:

  • Pay the first installment.

Attention: In case the payment is made before the calculation and invoicing of the set installment, the amount to be paid will be the fixed required fee (156 euros), and then the due tuition fees will be assigned.

  • Login in your Reserved Area and submit the passage request for the selected course

Se sei già iscritto ad altro corso di laurea entro la scadenza assegnata devi:

  • accedere alla tua Area Riservata e presentare domanda di passaggio di corso;
  • effettuare tempestivamente solo il pagamento di € 16 relativo al costo della marca da bollo virtuale.

Se sei già iscritto ad altro corso di laurea, da più di un anno, entro la data indicata come SCADENZA AMMISSIONE devi:

  • versare la prima rata del corso di laurea a cui sei attualmente iscritto:

Attenzione: se presenti richiesta di passaggio prima della fatturazione della prima rata, oltre all’importo di 16 euro della marca da bollo per la procedura di passaggio, ti verrà fatturata la rata fissa di 156 euro. Successivamente ti verrà fatturato il resto della prima rata.

  • accedere alla tua Area Riservata e presentare domanda di passaggio di corso.

Gli uffici provvederanno a modificare il corso di laurea di iscrizione.
