Description:
The International Master in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea) is a joint Master's program organized by eight prominent European universities in the field of marine sciences, supported by fourteen marine research institutes belonging to the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC). Based on the goals of the EMBRC consortium, IMBRSea covers a broad yet coherent range of topics related to the sustainable use of marine biological resources. With an emphasis on marine biological and ecological processes, the program connects marine organism biology and environmental studies with marine policy and planning topics. IMBRSea is a two-year study program worth 120 ECTS credits, commencing with a first semester of core courses within fundamental modules where students acquire the basic skills necessary to embark on one of the program's five specialization tracks.
IMBRSea aims to prepare students for the rapidly evolving needs of the blue bioeconomy and research on the sustainable use of marine biological resources. The international, interdisciplinary, and cross-sector nature of these challenges requires the integrated approach that IMBRSea fully encompasses.
